Straight out of the bottle, it boasts a strawberry scent which I found quite pleasant (considering I hate strawberries) and it was reasonably easy to squeeze out of a tube. I found this surprising because I was expecting it to be thick and too gluggy but it actually is quite a thin and workable formula. Another bonus is that you don’t need a lot to cover your whole face, so it’s also a money saver! Specially when the price for the 100mL mud mask is only $8.99, what a small price to pay for smooth skin!
When I was applying Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask to my face it felt like it was burning which was very uncomfortable. This was only when it was drying, so after five minutes or so it subsided and started to work its magic! The fact that the product burned was a major disappointment because I do not have sensitive skin and a lot of other people have said that they have had the same experience. I do think that this would not be suitable for people who have really sensitive skin because the stinging may be too irritating. For people who may be concerned with this, Formula 10.0.6 has also a small sachet in their range to trial this product.
After leaving this light pink coloured mud mask on for 30minutes or so (I wanted to finish my favourite TV show), my face felt very tight and my pores were minimised! This was great because I have large pores and can rarely find cures that will shrink them. It has been a lifesaver over the Easter break because my skin has been breaking out with all the yummy Easter goodies I have been eating!
I would definitely recommend Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask to anyone who has problem skin and wants to shrink their pores. It is an inexpensive option with results but the burning sensation when applied to the skin can be too much of a turn off for some people. As I have found that it leaves my skin smooth and clear for a few days, I think I can put up with the stinging feeling for now.
