Etude House #3 Peach Beam blush review and swatches – Glam Radar

On a recent shopping/lunch expedition with my lovely blogger friend (and shopping partner in crime) Jacie, we stumbled upon a mecca of adorable Asian cosmetic brands right near our local lunch haunt, China Red. Amongst the likes of Anna Sui cosmetics, milkshake hair dyes and other super kawaii cosmetic items I came across a brand calledEtude House. The name ‘Etude’ is a type of musical study and was apparently inspired by the Chopin etdues for ‘their technical and musical genius.’

The Korean brand has been around since 1995 and focuses on providing reasonably prices yet high quality good, as well as providing the customer a large range of colour choice. The shop I visited didn’t carry a large selection of their products but the Etude House websiteshows off their great selection of products.

My first Etude House purchase was the Peach Beam Blush #3 Peach (funnily enough the 3-strong range are all called Peach Beam Blush even though the #1 and #2 blushes are pink, not peach.) This is a baked blush duo containing two very shimmery shades in apricot and peach.

The two shades are fairly sheer and VERY reflective, the shimmer particles are fine and don’t look overly chunky on the face but they are very noticeable. The overall effect is a super glowy finish with a slight peachy colour, it’s not the most layer-able product given the shimmer levels. Based on this I would say it’s more suited to fair skintones.

It works equally well as a blush or highlighter on my skin, I like the two shades swirled together as a blush and then a little extra of the lighter shade dabbed onto the cheek bones for an extra glowy look. The Peach Beam Blush had great staying power and keep my cheeks look pretty all day.

The blush retailed for $19.95AUD and contains 4.2 grams, to give you a comparison the Mac Mineralize blushes (which would be the closest comparable product I have in my stash) are 3.5g retailing for $43AUD. The two products are pretty similar in finish, so if you’ve missed out on a peachy shade of the Mac Mineralize blushes I would recommend checking out the Etude House Peach Beam Blush in #3. The range also contains #1 Pink blush (which is very sheer, more of a highlighting shade than a blush) and #2 Berry ( a slightly deeper pink.)
