ELF recently released their Studio Baked collection which comes in three parts: eyeshadows, blushes, and bronzers. This post features all 4 blushes (Pintastic, Peachy Cheeky, Passion Pink, and Rich Rose).

ELF Studio Baked Blushes are $3 for 6g of product (MAC Mineralized Blushes are $23.50 for 3.5g, Milani Baked Blushes are $8 for 3.5g, Laura Geller Blush-n-Brighten are $30 for 9g). PIGMENTATION: 4.5/5
TEXTURE: 5/5
LONGEVITY: 4/5
OVERALL: 4.5/5 THE GOOD:

  • Pigmented
  • Inexpensive
  • Easy to blend
  • Lasts up to 12 hrs

THE BAD:

  • All colors are frosty/glowy
  • Can accentuate pores
  • Limited shade selection (most are light)

Bottom Line: These are ELF’s best blushes – pigmented, smooth, have minimal fall out, and look natural and luminous on the skin while lasting all day (7-10 hours depending on the shade). The longevity of these is phenomenal and are up to par with higher end brands. These are far less shimmery than Milani’s and MAC’s and rival that of Hard Candy’s finishes. Stay away if you don’t like shimmery blushes. I own the colors: Pinktastic, Peachy Cheeky, Passion Pink, Rich Rose

OVERALL: These are amazingly pigmented blushes (less than Milani and but greater than Hard Candy and other ELF) so a light hand is required for application but these will show up on all skintones. All 4 shades are fairly light in color ranging from highlighters to blushes that containsmall -less than noticeable- shimmers that produce an overall natural, glowing appearance. These are smootheasy to blend, and have minimal fallout…and best of all, they last the whole day (7-10 hours). I haven’t had nearly as much luck for longevity in other drugstore blushes. The packaging is weak in design and one fall will shatter the dome completely (happened to my Pinktastic!). All in all, I love these blushes! I typically don’t reach for shimmery blushes but when I do, I’ll definitely reach for these because they’re pigmented, give a natural glowing appearance, AND they last all day!

Recommended? If you want a natural glow on your face and found most of the Milani or MAC Baked Blushes to be too glittery/shimmery then these are an great alternative. However, if you want a matte/satin blush or worry about accentuating your pores, then skip out on this.

This is universal for all skintones. 2) Peachy Cheeky (peachy coral with beige veining) – This applies like a light warm coral (close to NARS Deep Throat) with a natural sheen that doesn’t appear too frosty or shimmery so you can skip on wearing highlighter with this. For tan-dark skintones, this might be more of a highlighter. Fades around 6 hours; lasts until 8 hours. 3) Passion Pink (tawny pink with cool pink veining) – While I don’t particularly like the color, this is the most pigmented and long wearing of the bunch. It’s a frosty coral pink blush that’s deeper in base color than Peachy Cheeky but has a cool-toned purplely shimmer that can look unnatural on warmer skintones. Fades around 10 hours; lasts until 12 hours. 4) Rich Rose (brown with rosy coral veining) – Even though it appears more brown in the pan, it applies more like a warm orangy coral on the cheeks. Like Peachy Cheeky, it has a natural sheen as opposed to noticeable shimmers. This would look beautiful on tan-darker skintones and can create that “sun burnt” look. Fades around 7 hours; lasts until 9 hours.  elf-baked-blushes-shade-500x281-1 elf-baked-blushes-shade1-500x281-1 elf-baked-blushes-shade2-500x281-1 elf-baked-blushes-shade3-500x281-1
