Helol girls so here is my review of the Elemis Skin Care Products!
I’ve never been a big ‘skincare type’ girl so anything quick and effective works well with me. I’ve tried many brands from Tesco’s own to YSL and nothing has ever made a difference with my skin. I have dry/combination skin, mostly combination with dry patches just above my eyes – I have quite bad psoriasis and I think this is what could be affecting my skin (dryness). Elemis are well known for their amazing skincare, so when I got the chance to try a few things I couldn’t wait to see if there was any improvements in my skin.
This has to be one of my favourite cleansers…ever! If i’m honest, I always use a makeup wipe before using any cleanser so, I don’t know how good it is at removing makeup on it’s own. However, it’s so easy to work with and it literally glides over the skin! The best thing about it is that it isn’t drying at all, so for those like me; this is for you! It’s very moisturising, leaving my skin feeling refreshed and soft. I’ve read a few reviews prior to writing this and many have claimed they don’t like the smell which didn’t surprise me at all. It has a very strong – almost medicinal scent to it which at first I was unsure about. But, now it doesn’t really bother me as I don’t notice it anymore!
This moisturiser is amazing for providing a soft radiant glow and a light base for makeup. My eyes are normally quite dark in the mornings so using this really does give my skin a boost. Having said that; this product is definitely something suited better to those without dry/combination skin. I personally need a more intense moisturiser so I couldn’t just use this alone!
Finally… A toner i like! Every other toner I’ve used has left my skin with a horrible tingling feeling however, this toner left me with no dis-comfort and I actually felt as it if was soothing my psoriasis. This product lasts ages, I’ve had it for around 2 weeks and I haven’t even used 1/4! Considering it’s only a small 50ml size, I think that’s pretty good. The best thing about this has to be the smell, I love apricot scents but have never smelt it in a skincare product before so, I was glad to find out it does actually smell like apricot and not chemicals!
