Avocado and Olive Oil Mask for Dry Hair – Glam Radar

Hello all! So as some of you may know, I have spent the past year living in California, about an hour and a half north of LA. It was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had – I can’t wait to get back there to hang out and hike with the lovely friends I made.

However. Cali sunshine does not come without a health warning. It has totally wrecked my hair. I used to be a naturally dark blonde, but 10 months of sea and sunshine left me with this.

So today I rooted through the cupboards and found a bunch of ingredients that I thought should be good to my hair! Avo, eggs, olive oil and natural yoghurt to bind it all together. Slathered the mix on to my hair and then wrapped it in cling film and watched an episode of Gilmore Girls. Lorelai is so pretty!

This is the best Olive Oil I’ve ever come across – it’s so delicious, totally fairtrade and gives the farmers in Palestine a really good avenue to sold their product.

The result! Yes the lighting is very different in the hallway…

FYI – My hair was in need of a wash when I put it in. I left it in for about 30 mins then shampooed and conditioned it out. After giving it a wide-toothed comb I left it to dry naturally. Whilst wet it felt almost no different, almost more brittle if anything. Yet by the time it had naturally dried in the air it was looking glossy and smooth. A rather strange phenomena…
