DIY Lip Scrub – Glam Radar
by Maria · July 20, 2014
Hi guys! As promised, today we are going to show you how to make your own lip scrub. You can buy these at beauty stores like Lush and Sephora for up to $20, but today, you can get it for free, using ingredients in your kitchen! My DIY Lip Scrub recipe : Mix brown sugar, olive oil, and honey until you get desired consistency. Depending on your preference, you may want it more liquidy, or more grainy. A more grainy consistency will give you a more exfoliating mixture, while a more liquidy consistency will give you a more moisturizing effect. You can also throw in a little bit of vanilla extract to add a little flavor. Once you’ve found your perfect mixture, put it in a container like this. This will last up to a year, but I can’t imagine you’d want to keep it waiting for that long! To use the lip scrub, rub the mixture on your clean lips with your finger. You can also rub your lips together for extra exfoliation. To remove the scrub, gently wipe it off with a tissue, or you can lick it off! (If you want, you can even add some vanilla extract to the mixture to make it taste and smell better!) Finish up with a moisturizing lip balm. This is our favorite one, Rosebud Strawberry Lip Balm, ($7 from Sephora). It’s super moisturizing, and lasts forever! We hope you enjoyed this post, and try it on your own!
