Diorific Perfumed Illuminating Powder #001 Review – Glam Radar

Helloooo guys! I know I haven’t posted in aaaaages but with Dan coming home, yay! that week I got nothing done as we just spent the whole week together before he started work on Monday and then when I finally had a day on Monday my laptop decided to not work, it’s been dying for a while but finally gave up on Monday so here I am with my brand spanking new one and I haven’t even had time to play on it yet properly as I’ve been so desperate to get this post up for you!

This highlighter has got to be without a doubt the most gorgeous one I own, I mean, just look at it!

The packaging is stunning and I am an absolute sucker for anything gold, it comes in a velvet pouch which also includes a separate little pocket for the brush which I at first thought was a great touch but when actually using it if the brush isn’t kept in it’s plastic packing (which normally it wouldn’t be) when you try and slide it into it’s pocket the bristles just don’t agree and you end up distorting them as you have to push it in using the bristles if you understand? hence the reason it’s still in it’s packet which was a bit of a letdown for me as they are normally kept inside the compact itself, but it’s not like I really use that brush anyway so I can look past that, although saying that, the brush is really nice and soft and it picks up the product nicely so it’s a nice addition.

The compact is heavy and really sturdy, it has such a luxury feel to it and although it looks like it contains hardly any product it contains 6g which is around the average size for a blush or highlighter compact. With it being called a perfumed powder you’d probably expect there to be quite a strong and distinctive scent to it but there isn’t really, it’s very light and delicate and unless you were looking out for it, you wouldn’t even notice, it has a vanilla and floraly scent that I assume to be the same as their new perfume that was released. I’m not a big fan of overly scented products so this is perfect for me. #001 I would say is a rose gold highlighter, the shimmer in it is definitely gold based but overall it has more of a translucent base and doesn’t add any colour as such so it’s perfect for a very natural highlight of your cheekbones but also looks so pretty when lightly dusted all over to just illuminate your complexion. I absolutely love it, it’s such a gorgeous addition to my collection and I’ve been enjoying using it but to be honest, if I hadn’t been sucked in by the limited edition and gold compact malarkey I’m not sure I’d pay the hefty price tag again.
