Hay everyone! Here is my review of  CHANEL JOUES CONTRASTE POWDER BLUSH in Rose Petale shade !

I felt I was talking a lot about LUSH products recently and was getting a bit bored with it so went to pick up a product I had been lusting after for ages. It is the Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush. This is the shade “Rose Petale”.CHANEL JOUES CONTRASTE POWDER BLUSH Rose Petale
The blush itself comes in 9 shades and have quite a broad range. It comes in the compact the mirror, similar to a lot of Chanel products with the little brush. I would apply this blush with my own brush BUT if you are thinking of using the little supplied brush, I would not recommend it. It does not pick up very much product and is an awkward shape for applying blush to the cheeks. I used my finger to get a heavy swatch which you can see below. This photograph was taken at my window so you can see it in natural light only.CHANEL JOUES CONTRASTE POWDER BLUSH Rose Petale swatch
I would describe “Rose Petale” as a dusty pink that would look particularly nice on pale girls and is a great blush for the “English Rose” look if that is what you are going for. I am not sure it would be a very obvious on girls with darker skin but you never know. Compared to MAC blushes I would say this product has a far more pleasant feel and smell. I would also say that I find this blush (and particularly the colour) has a much more natural finish than many of the MAC colours. Below are more photos for you to see the product. One is a close up of my cheek and a silly one from further away. I am not wearing any bronzer or any other products on my cheek other than foundation. I have also only applied a little amount this as this is what I would wear on an every day basis. These photos were also taken in front of my window so I am only lit with natural light so you can see the truest example of the colour.CHANEL JOUES CONTRASTE POWDER BLUSH review in Rose PetaleCHANEL POWDER BLUSH Rose Petale photo
This product retails at £31 and can be picked up from a Chanel counter wherever (Debenhams, Boots, House of Fraser) and it’s presumably the same in the US. Because of it’s steep price, I will not be rushing out to buy every colour in this blush range but it is definitely a nice treat. If you checked these out at a local counter and LOVED one of the shades and are looking to splurge then I don’t why you shouldn’t pick them up. In my opinion, they are a cut above the MAC blushes but so they should be for the price.
Do any of you have this range of Chanel blushes?
or have you tried them?
Let me know 🙂
love ya if you do and love ya if ya don’t!
