Cellnique Amino Collagen C Intense Set – This is a two step serum duo to help brighten and even skin tone, firm, lift and hydrate the skin amongst other things. Phew, that’s a mouthful and a lot of claims! Each bottle is very tiny but I have to emphasize how very little you need. You only need about two drops to cover your entire face. Each serum has a different woody/woodsy/earthy type of scent to them and one is stronger than the other. I found Intense Serum I a bit harder to spread across the face. It was thicker and didn’t glide or move as easily across the face. Serum II was a lot easier to work with and also a lot brighter in it’s smell.
This did exactly what it said it would do – my face was definitely brighter, it lightened some old acne scars I had, my skin tone was more even and I definitely had hydrated skin. It does leave a bit of a tacky feel to the skin that takes anywhere from 60 – 90 minutes to subside and for the product to fully absorb. That part was a big downer for me. Keep in mind that you have to use this daily for all of the benefits to continue. When I ran out of the serum, so did all of the effects.
Here’s where all my annoying references to the packaging come full circle… 😉 It’s recommended to keep this in the fridge. It’s not on the packaging, so how would you know to do that? What if you didn’t go to the website or didn’t think to look up the “how to use” info because you already know how to use a serum? I keep my serums in the fridge anyway but as a beauty blogger I always do my research and I found that information on the Cellnique website. I do recommend this product and with daily use, you’ll be very happy with the results.
My biggest complaint is about the packaging – while the ingredients are listed, there are no usage instructions. If you want to know how to use this product, you have to go to the website and look it up. That’s not thinking about the customer and I highly suggest Cellnique rethink this if they ever do a repackage on this.
The packaging of Cellnique Amino Collagen C Intense Set is very sleek, chic and expensive looking. Of all the packaging from the items I received, the way this serum was packaged seemed to make the most sense, used the least amount of materials and looked the sharpest (next to the mask packaging).
