Apologies for the lateness of this post. I was organised: I took snaps and reviewed the contents of the January Glossybox pretty much as soon as it arrived at my door. But, my lovely iPhone was sent off for repair… with my Glossybox photos on.. that i hadn’t backed-up – duh! The phone was replaced so I lost all of the prep, so had to start all over. This made me sad.

January’s Glossybox was Valentine’s Day themed, the box was beautifully bright pink – love it! Despite the fact that these products have been all over the net already, I’m going to give my opinion anyway, why not, hey? Firstly, I would like to thank the lovelies at Glossybox for including the Orly nail varnish. I’ve always wanted to try one of these, but never actually got to round to doing so and I’m not too sure why. So this was great for me. I am being honest, this is one of the best nail varnishes I have used. The finish is sheer and has super staying power. I often find that my nail varnish chips at the tips (even though I have barely enough nail to paint on.. Bad chewing habit!!) But this has a lovely strong and bold pigmented finish, very professional, I think. It is by far my favourite of all the products. My least favourite sample is the Weleda cleanser & toner. I gave it a try and I felt no difference; my face still felt unclean, so I had to wash it again with my usual face wash. It also had an unpleasant Plasticine-cross-cardboard smell, yuck! Eyeko skinny eyeliner. I think the extra length is a great idea to prevent wastage. I am not too sure about the colour as I don’t use Kohl eyeliner too often, so I would have preferred the pink or silver to use as a highlighter. However, it is a lovely rich colour and I may just have to find an excuse to use it! The FAB body wash is average, it smells quite natural and isn’t too overpowering. This product is kind on the skin, I imagine it would be very useful for those with sensitive skin. Still, it cleans well. I am not likely to purchase it in the future though, just wasn’t impressive enough.

I used the Murad Primer as an alternative to my usual daily BB cream. It does work quite well. It has a very light coverage, a pleasant texture, and is not too thick or orange tinted. Overall, a well-rounded product. I will be sticking with my BB creams though, as they give a little bit more coverage.

Hope this gives you some Valentine’s inspiration for tomorrow! ;]
