Simple Yogurt Cleanser.
Yogurt, lemon juice, and rosemary essential oil make a quick and simple cleanser for oily skin.
What you need: 1 tablespoon of plain low-fat yoghurt, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 drop of rosemary essential oil.
Mix the ingredients together, dampen your face with warm water and apply cleanser with your fingertips. Massage on to your skin for one minute, then rise off with warm water.
Quick Skin Refresher.
Place your toner or astringent into a small spray bottle so you can carry it around with you and mist your skin throughout the day.
Aloe Vera Gel.
As soon as you have cleansed your skin and applied a toner, smooth on a layer of refreshing aloe vera gel as a moisturizer.
Aromatherapy Moisturizing Oil.
Cypress and grapefruit oils are mid astringents and help regulate the production of oil in the skin.
What you need: 30ml of jojoba oil, 5 drops of cypress essential oil and 5 drops of grapefruit essential oil.
Mix the ingredients in a small glass pharmacy bottle with a dropper, after cleansing your skin, gently massage two or three drops of the oil on to your damp skin using your fingertips.
Fresh Parsley And Lemon Facial Sauna.
Oily or problem skin can be deep-cleaned and invigorated with this facial sauna made from fresh parsley, peppermint and lemon.
What you need: 2.5 litres of water, 20g fresh chopped parsley, 10g fresh chopped peppermint and a half sliced lemon.
Bring the water, parsley, peppermint and lemon to a boil in a covered pot. Remove from the heat and allow to steep for five minutes. Place the pot on a table, remove the lid, and make a towel tent over your head and the pot to capture the steam. Stay under the tent for ten minutes, taking care not to burn yourself. Finish by cleansing your face with a facial scrub and warm water or by applying a deep-cleansing mask.
Aromatherapy Facial Mask.
Cucumber cleans and refreshes oily skin, while cosmetic clay absorbs excess oil produced by the skin. Juniper and lavender essential oils are purifying and help to nominate the production of oil.
What you need: 2 teaspoons of plain low-fat yogurt, 1 tablespoon of finely chopped cucumber pulp, 2 teaspoons of cosmetic clay, 2 drops of lavender essential oil and 1 drop of juniper essential oil.
Combine all the ingredients together and mix thoroughly into a paste. Cleanse your face and then smooth on the aromatherapy mask. Relax for 15 minutes. Afterwards, remove the paste with a warm wet flannel.
