Here is my review of BALANCE-N-BRIGHTEN !
I am so excited to be reviewing this product because it’s one of the BEST products I’ve found recently! My ULTA just started carrying Laura Geller products and while I was returning some things, I took a look and thought I’d see how the Balance-n-Brighten foundation would compare to Mac’s Mineral Skin Foundation. I picked up the “Regular” shade which claims to be universal (it also works on two of my friends who are darker than me). There is no comparison here! Laura Geller blows Mac away by far. I was expecting it to be an actual foundation but it’s different.
Balance-n-Brighten is a correcting and brightening liquid powder baked on a terracotta pan for 24 hours. It feels smooth, soft, and silky. It contains color-corrective pigments from light tan to sheer beige. The swirls of soft tan help to offset ruddiness, brighten sallow tones, and balance out your complexion. Sounds amazing, right? It gets even better…
It was recently reformulated to be mineral oil and paraben- free. It’s loaded with anti-oxidants and Centella Asiatica and White Tea Extracts to protect against aging. Laura Geller started off being sold only on QVC. I’m happy my ULTA started carrying her products as well because I’m not big on ordering off QVC and it would be very unfortunate to have missed this product.
I use this in place of my MSF. Although it claims to be a foundation, I like to use it over my tinted moisturizer or liquid foundations and it’s great for touch ups. My MSF often made my skin look cakey even after using a light hand to apply and finishing off with fix plus spray. This is like magic! I have no idea how this works exactly but it REALLY does brighten your face! I can reapply as much as I want and it still doesn’t look powdery or crease into my fine lines. My complexion looks so much healthier. I purchased mine for $29 for 0.32 Oz. After using it quite a bit, I have yet to make a dent in it, its love at first swipe
