Avon Glimmersticks eye liner and swatches : T-B – Sugar Plum, Emerald Glow, Black Ice, Smokey Diamond, Saturn Grey and Blackest Black
Cosmic Brown today is still one of my all time favourite brown liners; it’s a true deep brown, not a hint of red, nor bronze just plain old brown, and if like me you love your browns you’ll know what a rare breed it is.
But anyway, moving away from Cosmic Brown and on to the point of this post. A few weeks ago Avon offered to send me the bundle above to try from their Glimmerstick and Glimmerstick Diamonds range and I just wanted to share them with you.
The liners all come packaged in the same simple but sleek black casing with colour coded ends to make finding the shade you want quick and easy. Another great feature I like is the fact that they’re retractable which means there’s no need for a sharpener with these, just twist and apply!
Talking of application, how do they apply?
In comparison to the likes of the UD 24/7 , Stila Smudgestick, EL Double Wear, Mac Pearlglide andNars Larger Than Life pencils which are all amazing btw, then these aren’t far off.
Application of glimmerstick eye liner is fuss free and they glide on with no almost no pull, I only say almost, because instead of the meltingly creamy texture of those mentioned above these have a slightly waxier formulation which is why they are classed as waterproof.
And waterproof they are, these babies are hard to budge, once they set there is little that will move them, making them great for long days or of course all nighters!
Shade wise there are five matte colours in the Glimmerstick range and four in their sparklier sisters, the Glimmerstick Diamonds.
At just £6 a piece these liners are very well priced for the quality, they’re almost half the price of some of the products I compared them to above making them fab value. Oh and if you like a little glitter then the Glimmerstick Diamonds are only £2.50 each right now online! Bargain.
All in all a great range of eyeliners that are well worth checking out next time the Avon lady pops acatalogue through your letterbox or if you can’t wait there’s always online :).
