Last month, I filmed my beauty favorites on my new YouTube Channel – and you can check that out here!
Already the end of August? That means it’s time for another favorites!
This month I figured I would take advantage of this beautiful day and take some photographs of my favorite beauty items for the month of August!
The first product that I have been loving is quite possibly the greatest primer I have ever used.
That would be Benefit’s POREfessional!
This does an amazing job at shrinking the pores around my nose and cheeks and creating a beautiful base for my makeup. It also is amazing at keeping any excess oil away.
Second is my all-time favorite under-eye concealer – Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Concealer!
This has been my favorite for awhile and I even got my Mother-in-law hooked on it!
I have had this concealer (in the shade “Neutralizer”!) for quite a long time and I haven’t even gone half way through it! It’s a great value for your money.
Next up is a new foundation love of mine – just a baby sample though – Urban Decay’s NAKED Skin Foundation in the shade 4.0.
I adore this foundation, and I will definitely be picking it up when I run out of the samples that I have.
The Sephora MU artist was nice enough to give me three or four of these small bottles to really get a chance to decide if it works for me or not. Honestly – I knew after the first use that I loved it!
Next is an obvious favorite – and that would be Revlon’s Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup.
This is my go-to holy grail foundation. I absolutely love it.
My husband and I went to a baseball game the other night and it was over 90 degrees out, and I was thinking to myself how idiotic it was to wear a full face of makeup, in yet when I went to the bathroom it looked just as good as when I had left. I LOVE this stuff, end of story.
My go-to powder this month has been Rimmel’s Stay Matte. It does just what it says – helps you stay matte (and does a great job at that)!
One of my favorite blushes this month has been Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Blush in ‘Exposed’.
This is such a great shade for all-year-round wear. It just looks absolutely phenomenal on the skin.
My next favorite blush has been Maybelline’s Dream Bouncy Blush in ‘Hot Tamale’. This shade is good to help you transfer from Summer to Fall. It’s the perfect shade for either month. I would say this could be a little harsh on paler skin tones or during the winter, but I love it for Summer and Fall!
My go-to bronzer is still NYC’s Sunny. I use this religiously every month, and I don’t understand why I have not hit pan yet. It’s the never ending bronzer!
I have bronzers from Chanel, MAC and more and I still always find myself gravitating toward this one.
Highly recommend it!
My next favorite I have to give a huge credit to Alicia over at Funny Face Beauty, who generously gifted this to me when I visited Canada awhile back!
This is MAC’s Brow Pencil in Taupe. This is my absolute favorite product for my brows.
I know that a lot of people have mixed feelings about the MAC Brow Pencils, but I really enjoy them. I don’t find them to be any less long-wearing, or quick to run out.
I have rediscovered my love for MAC’s Black Track Fluid Line.
I rarely wear eye liner on my lower water line, just because I feel that it’s too harsh for every day wear.
However, I do love wearing eye liner on my upper lash line or on my upper water line to enhance my lashes.
I find that gel wears so much better when you are putting it in either of those areas. It doesn’t transfer, bleed or smudge. It’s just a perfect product.
You’ve already seen this in a recent haul – but Maybelline’s new Color Tattoo in ‘Barely Beige’ has quickly stolen my heart. This is just the perfect shade for those days where you want to look amazing without putting a ton of effort in. This shade catches the light on your eyes beautifully, and makes it look like you put way more effort into your look than you actually did.
Keeping with the cream eye shadow category – I have also been loving Laura Mercier’s Metallic Creme Eye Colour in ‘Rose Gold’.
This is the same concept as ‘Barely Beige’ in that it allows you to have a flawless easy look.
I love pairing this shade with dark black liner and a few coats of mascara. It looks gorgeous!
My lip favorite this month – besides White Russian of course – has been the little Sugar Lip Treatment set that I got as a birthday gift from Sephora.
These are just all around excellent lip balms – and I hate to say that because I was hoping I wouldn’t like them that much with the price tag they have.
Even though I love them, I don’t think I’ll be rushing out to get another one when it runs out – I just can’t justify over $20 for a lip balm!
They will be a favorite while they last!
I’ve definitely been stepping into fall as far as my nails are concerned!
I have traded in the hot corals and peaches for greens and dark purples.
My two favorites lately have been Maybelline’s ‘Boho Gold’ and China Glaze’s ‘Awakening’.
These are both great shades to help you transition into Fall!
That would be it!
What are you loving this month?
