Amie Spring Clean Cooling Clay Mask Review – Glam Radar

So today I am going to be reviewing a face mask from the brand Amie – Amie Spring Clean Cooling Clay Mask . I got this face mask as part of three free samples from “Latest In Beauty”, I went onto the Little Beauty Box tab and then picked three samples I wanted to try. You then have to send a text to them with the word TRY, they then send you a code to enter in the checkout section which stays valid for 24 hours. I’ve used this before, and its a great way to get samples of products you may want to try; they also have Luxury Samples at reasonable prices too.

Went a bit off topic there…Onto the review!

I got the Spring Clean Cooling Clay Mask* which is designed to deeply cleanse the skin leaving it feeling clearer.amie-spring-clean-cooling-clay-mask

Amie Spring Clean Cooling Clay Mask* (RRP £4.95)

This face mask has organic peppermint, French white clay, lime butter and over 94% natural ingredients in it; its designed to be kind to your skin and work in harmony with it to keep it clear and radiant. Amie masks are free from parabens, sulphates, mineral oils, GMO and animal extracts – they are also not tested on animals and are suitable for vegetarians. The Spring Clean Cooling Clay Mask is a refreshing deep cleansing product that helps to draw out dirt and impurities while helping to prevent blemishes…This to me sounded perfect and I couldn’t wait to try it, I have longed to find a face mask that I could use once or twice a week to really treat my skin and pamper it.amie-spring-clean-cooling-clay-mask-ingredients

My first impressions of the mask were that I thought there wouldn’t be enough in the pack, but a little goes a long way. The mask itself is a light green colour and smells like peppermint – now I like my products to have a subtle scent and for me this was VERY overpowering but I went with it anyway. To use this mask I applied it with my finger tips all over my face and I avoided the sensitive eye areas. I then left this on for the recommended 10 minuets, I could feel a slight tingling/cooling as the mask dried out. To remove I used a flannel soaked in warm water, which I like as it slightly exfoliates my skin as I’m removing the mask – I then applied my day cream as normal.amie-spring-clean-cooling-clay-mask-review

Overall I like what the mask stands for and what it does for my face/complexion, it left my skin feeling cleansed and soft. A plus for me is that I didn’t have a reaction, as sometimes this can occur with new products, I put this down to the cooling effect that the mask has. However I’m not a fan of the scent and it really put me off as it was all I could smell once the product was on my face. Would I buy it? Probably not. However if they do a non scented mask I would get that one for sure.
