Nursing a hangover is the worst feeling in the world, but what’s worse than that is nursing it while trying to look decent enough to present yourself at work the next day. Luckily, there are plenty of things that you can do to hide the fact that you’ve been partying hard last night. Here are a few tips to look fresh while nursing a hangover.
Do Some Depuffing
Tired eyes are the biggest telltale signs of being hungover so they’re the first things you need to take care of. To de-puff your eyes, put something cool over them. You can use slices of cucumber, used tea bags, spoons, or straight up ice cubes. There are also quite a few good depuffing eye rollers out there if you prefer the commercial version.
Try the Red Concealer Trick
Here’s an amazing hack that might sound crazy at first but is actually really good when you try it. If you’ve been on the internet long enough, you might have already seen/heard of the red lipstick concealer trick. No? Well, it’s basically using red lipstick just before putting on concealer on areas that need a bit more brightness to achieve a more radiant look. Check it out here.
Keep It Light
Heavy glam makeup is nice, but when you’re trying to cover up a hangover, it might just be the telltale sign that gives everything away. Instead, aim for a look that’s light, natural and fresh. Not only will it take less time to do, it will actually make you look more awake and daytime-appropriate, too. If there’s one thing you should add to your natural look, though, it’s highlighter. This extra step just makes you more radiant and glowy.
Take Care of Your Hair
The last step to looking fresh while nursing a hangover is to make sure your hair looks fab. A simple ponytail or a topknot will do if you’re pressed for time. These two hairstyles are guaranteed to make your face light up a little bit more. If you have a few extra minutes, try doing braids.
Mask It Out
Korean beauty products are so hot right now and one of the things I’ve discovered and now can’t live without are sheet masks! These work wonders for the skin, even if you put them on just 15 minutes before you do your makeup. There are sheet masks that were made to help detoxify your skin and make it look more radiant, too, and those are the perfect ones to use when you’re nursing a hangover.
